Description
This three day course can be provided onsite or in various locations around the UK, this course provides progression from the Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace and is intended principally for those who are operating in a supervisory or managerial role, this is an ideal qualification for those of you who wish to deliver training to your staff members and colleagues. Once you have gained this qualification you will have the skills and a wide range of knowledge on health and safety Law, you will also be able to identify the hazards present in a workplace and how to implement effective and necessary controls to enable you to minimise the risk and minimise workplace injury and incidents. The HABC Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace will equip candidates with the skills necessary for the effective supervision of staff. It will also focus on the importance of the health and safety culture particularly for businesses which will be an invaluable resource to those taking the qualification. The HABC Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is applicable for any private or public sector working environment. Candidates working towards the Level 3 qualification will understand that supervisors and managers have a legal and moral obligation to ensure all health and safety practices within a business are adhered too and that this includes obligations to employees, contractors, suppliers and members of the public. They will also be able to take responsibility for ensuring the competency of the workforce and for identifying hazards, implementing controls and taking appropriate corrective action when necessary. Furthermore, holders of the Level 3 Award will assist businesses to demonstrate their legal requirement to engage a ‘competent person’.
